What Will We Actually Own in the Future?

What Will We Actually Own in the Future?

Dec 2, 2025

You will own nothing, and that’s their plan.

The phrase “you’ll own nothing” emerged from the lunatics at the World Economic Forum.

Pardon the name calling, but we’ve thought about it a lot and in reviewing the record we believe it to be absolutely correct.  Such lunatics that the complete expression is “you’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy.”

Lunacy.  But in many ways, we are already on the road to not owning anything.

Take the 50-year mortgage.  Please!

Thanks to the corruption of our monetary system, the median age of first-time home buyers in America today is 40.  First-time buyers in the 1950s and 1960s – when the dollar was tied to gold – were generally in their early to mid-20s.

Take out a 50-year mortgage when you’re 40 years old and pay it off when you hit 90!

But you don’t really own your home in America today anyway.  You may pay off the mortgage, but you can never pay off the government.  It doesn’t matter who you are or how long you’ve “owned” your home.  You could be an 85-year old widow with meager savings, living in a house that has been in the family for decades.  Every year you must pay tribute to the State or they will rip it away from you.  Why?  Does the State fix the roof when the rain comes in?  Repair the porch?  Cut the grass?

You pay tribute to the State your entire life.  So do you really own your home if you must pay forever to keep it?

Governor Ron DeSantis says you don’t.  That’s why he’s pushing to eliminate property taxes in Florida.

“So people say, ‘Well, where are you going to get the money?’ Well, how come nobody asks, ‘Why can’t government spend less money?’” DeSantis said recently.

It’s not just your home.  Also moving in the direction of “you will own nothing” is your money.  We reported during the last bank runs that people were asked to explain to bankers why they were withdrawing money.

In a post at the time, we shared a video of a Canadian man trying to withdraw a few thousand dollars from his bank account.  The bank wanted a document of some sort to show what he was going to do with his money.

And wait until the entire monetary system goes digital.  You’ll have to mind your P’s and Q’s or you might have your money frozen.  That’s the dream of the same kinds of people that want you to own nothing.  Social credit systems that give them total control over you are part of the dream.

Meanwhile, the US government is making clear to the rest of the world that their dollar holdings are only theirs when Washington says they can have them.  This is what is meant by the “weaponization of the dollar.”  It is why dollar owners around the world are growing wary of the US dollar.  They fear correctly that they will own nothing!

They won’t like it!

So they move to gold.

Locally.  Nationally.  Internationally.  Title to assets, control of monetary resources is under assault.  You don’t have to be Nostradamus to see where this is headed.

What about your ownership of your investment and retirement accounts?  Paul Craig Roberts says, “you may have already lost ownership of your banking, pension, and investment accounts.”

Roberts was an assistant secretary of the US Treasury in the Reagan administration and an associate editor of the Wall Street Journal.  Here he explains part of the lunacy:

Your “ownership” has been reduced to permission to use your assets until the financial intermediary holding them gets into financial trouble. At that moment, they cease to be your property and become the property of the creditors of the intermediary that holds your accounts, whether it be Merrill Lynch, Schwab, Wells Fargo, TIAA, or whoever. Your dispossession was done quietly over many years by regulatory agencies.

So, there you have it.  Thanks to the lunatics, faith is collapsing in the confidence that people have in their financial assets.  Internationally.  Nationally.  Locally.  You’ll own nothing.

Unless you own gold.
